Me First and the
Gime Gimmes go on vacation
"Since the gimme gimmes have only played about 20 times and 14 of those
shows were in San Francisco, we decided we should do a real tour, and what better
place than Hawaii. So we got plane tickets for us and 12 of our closest friends
and made the journey.
First show was in Waikiki. It was at a karaoke bar with no P.A. system. Spike
sang out of a karaoke machine mic. There were no toms on the drum set and Jackson's
guitar neck broke. The evening did not start well. After playing about 8 songs
the cops came and threw everyone out. That was the highlight. Little did we
know that was going to be our best show."...
